The B5 Challenge: Lose weight, improve your time trial time, and win money. Al Maviva & Company are having a friendly competition to see who can improve the most by June 1. If you need some motivation to lose weight and get better, this looks like a nice way to do it.
I don't need to lose weight personally -- I'm 40 years old, 5'9" and my winter weight is 155 pounds. I'll drop down to 145 over the summer which is plenty skinny, I think.

Jonathan's bike stolen
Unbelievable! Somebody stole the bike of Portland bike blogging king Jonathan Maus. Let's hope he gets it back.

Feedback form spam
Because of increasing amounts of spam received via my feedback form, I've implemented some simple filtering to keep the spammers away. I would appreciate if you could test this for me to ensure I didn't screw it up too badly.
Please visit my contact form. If you see "Go away spammer" please leave a comment below so I can contact you and try to fix the problem. If you see a normal feedback form, there's nothing else you need to do -- you don't even need to fill out the form (unless you want to). I eventually plan to code up the feedback form to do an IP address lookup against one of the spammer blackhole lists, probably using this code and hacking it for my purposes.
The spam I'm receiving is obviously from robotic form fillers trying to sell pharmaceuticals, financial products, and sexually explicit media (aka pills, porn, and poker). If you have cycling, fitness, environmental or health products that you believe Cyclelicious readers may be interested in reading about, you are always welcome to contact me about those things.

Elevation profile at Gmap Pedometer
Most of you know that the Gmap Pedometer is about the slickest route mapping tool on the planet. I've just learned that they've added an elevation profile feature to the mapping tool. Just click small or large to select the level of detail you want and select your way points like normal.

This is the elevation profile for one of my lunch hour rides, which ranges from 4993 feet to 5674 feet elevation over 20 miles. Click here to see the route.
