Bicycle jobs and volunteer opportunities

Get paid to blog about bikes! Boston-based bike tour organizer Ciclismo Classico wants to pay somebody to use your social media mad skills to be a "Bicycle Tour Evangelist." You must be comfortable with the major social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Flickr, and bookmarking sites); know how to program with PHP and MySQL; be a passionate cyclist and be knowledgeable about Western Europe travel. This is a half-time, part time contract gig. More here.

The US Bicycle Hall of Fame seeks an Executive Director. The USBHOF is relocating to Davis, CA in a partnership with the California Bicycle Museum. Responsibilities will include overseeing the establishment of the new museum and headquarters. Full qualifications and responsibilities are outlined here.

International Mountain Bicycling Association seeks an Events Coordinator. Yes, they want to pay you to work out of Boulder, Colorado to plan parties. I know from personal observation that the guys from the IMBA office in Boulder take a lot of snow days and take the company car into the mountains to go skiing. More at IMBA.

Locally (to me) - the Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition seeks new additions to the Board of Directors. All of you belly achers who complain about SVBC inaction, here's your chance to do something about it. More at SVBC.

Finally, take a look at these upcoming volunteer opportunities in Silicon Valley.
