...this will work itself out on the road & i honestly think if contador is stronger, that lance will ride for him...

...that being said, i also believe if contador shows any weakness, that armstrong will prob'ly have himself in a position to pounce...should be interesting to see if ol' juan pelota can come back kickin' ass...

...of bigger concern is vinokourov deciding several days before the tour to start making threats about ousting bruyneel if he doesn't fall in line w/ vino's wishes...
...bruyneel already has enough on his plate as team director...

...***team - non sequitur***...
...& let's not forget that a french adjudicating body, in their infinite wisdom, is allowing boonen to ride 'le tour'...
...sad, sad, sad...never thought it would happen & i think it's disgusting...

...just sayin'...

Any parallels between this and Hinault/Lemond? What do you think? It's kind of different, but kind of the same, too. I agree that L.A. will completely pull for Contador if Contador is doing well (which he should).

And yeah, Boonen. :-(

..."It's kind of different, but kind of the same, too."...boy howdy, huh ???...

...i think despite hinault's false promises to "aid" lemond, that he always believed his cycling attributes were greater than lemond's & as such he deserved & wanted another win...
...but as it turned out, that year greg's strengths superseded his & then he had to save face...

...w/ this years situation, armstrong is sitting in the catbird's seat...
...help contador to the win & look like a returning king assisting the young prince, no matter your own final placing...
...help contador & increase your following w/ a podium spot while being forever praised..."look where he came from...retired for 4 years & still...!!!"...
...sit back, read weaknesses & pounce when the time is right because, hey, maybe you just are coming around full strength & it's your time, once again, too shine...
...lotta viable scenario's & none of 'em damaging, what so ever......

...all in all, armstrong does no wrong in the eyes of the general public (except for the perpetual naysayers)...not bad for an ol' fart...

Hello. I am very glad to see so much interest in Le Tour de France. I know this may sound like an over-ambitious goal, but I want to win this incredible bike race. I am only 16 so I have a while to train and get some quality gear together. However, I really need the support of others, like you, in order to complete such a task. On my blog, http://anyone1can1do1it.blogspot.com/ , you can follow my journey from a mere student to the winner of Le Tour de France. The blog isn’t much as of now, but I will post daily, and you will no doubt see dramatic improvements. Thank you for taking the time to read this post!
