Firefox 1.5 crashes

If you're tempted to download Mozilla Firefox 1.5, don't. It crashes way too often and I'm getting absolutely sick of it. Ugh. Stay with an older version or a different browser.

I have been using it for some time and it is solid as stone.

I highly recommend it.

Sorry you're having troubles with it - maybe an extension needing updated?

I haven't had any trouble. Try unloading the plugins.

Well, unloading the extensions kind of defeats the purpose of using Firefox, doesn't it? Nevertheless, I've been removing them one at a time and running a while to find out which one the culprit is.

Crashing tends to occur on websites heavy on Javascript/Ajax kind of code.

I think some extension writers were a little too quick to say 'hey my extension is fully 1.5 compatible.'

Mine has been just fine, with the exception one hiccup where I lost my theme and many setting sort of reverted to the default settings.

No Firefox crashed more than 1.5. (I'm using Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8.0.1) Gecko/20060111 Firefox/1.5.0.1) It crahses here on W2K (the same happens on XP) - but as I could see mostly on mail.yahoo.com - what is very much annoying. Luckilly it happens at least AFTER sending an email ... but in that case almost always ...
Any idea what to do?
